It’s National Trails Day, and Questa historian, Flavio Cisneros, will lead a guided walk along the .6m Questa History and Community Trail route.
Initial signs and public art will be in place to illustrate historic spots and viewpoints along the way. Flavio will bring to life our Spanish frontier history with personal anecdotes and decades of knowledge. From orchards and acequias to Native conflict and interaction, religious practices of this isolated area to living history and our rich cultural heritage. Join the walk, lend your voice, get your questions answered during a fun outing that honors our trail-building history, and trail-connected future!
Meet up at the corner plazuela at the traffic light. Corner of highways 522 and 38.
Park just down the hill in the dirt lot at the Visitor Center.
